Excerpt:
He entered the bar smiling and nodding at all the people he knew. Some were friends, others former conquests. Enemies and rejected suitors all packed into one small bar. Desperate horny faces that hungrily sought him out, some were aware of his reputation others were anxious to find out for themselves.
"Hey Bart how's it hanging?" He slapped high fives with Bart the humpy bartender. He paid for the beer Bart had already opened for him, and left a generous tip.
"So you look'in for adventure tonight, or is David coming?" Bart leaned across the bar and kissed the studly black man on the mouth. Bart was always ready for Ryer since they had made it a few years ago. Ryer returned the kiss and gave Bart a friendly slap on the side of his face. Bart stepped back, feigning injury.
"Oh you evil bitch..." He joked often with Ryer, although as Bart also enjoyed a reputation as a heavy top he and Ryer had shared versatile times.
"Got a special delivery package tonight, Bart. His name is Zack. If he comes in, keep the vultures off'a him willya?" Ryer nodded at his good buddy and left to wander the dark corners of the bar. The beat of the music was mindless disco-rock, the kind of music that you had to shout over.
"How'm I gonna know him? What's he look like?" Bart asked over the noise.
"How the hell should I know! You know everybody. Just look for a new face and a hot body. Oh yeah he'll look real young and real lost." Ryer called back and began to walk away.
"Sounds like something for me!"
Ryer shot Bart a glance that had Bart immediately raise his hands in defense.
"Just kidd'in bro, just kidd'in. I'll watch for him." Bart waved and went to wait on a customer.
Ryer took a few gulps of his beer and went to check out the strangers in town. In New Orleans there were always new faces, new hopefuls. A lot of the guys fantasized about his big, mean, black, look. Others found him intimidating. It was a fantasy look. The kind you went after if you were into a specific fantasy.
He noticed the new guy as soon as he entered the rear of the room. He recognized him leaning against the far wall, walked over to him and smiled. The guy was thirty-something. He had a two day growth of beard and had his hair cropped short. He dressed in worn brown leather pants and rider boots, with his chest bare and sweaty, and only a few hairs sprouting around his nipples. He was husky like he played a lot of sports, not particularly muscular but an ample man's body. Ryer liked the look. Unlike the others, this one wasn't hesitant about speaking out.
"Hello...I think we should know each other." His accent was unmistakably German.
Ryer stared back in mock surprise. "Zack? Dieter's friend?" Ryer would have to send Dieter something nice next Christmas. The dude was hot!
"Yes, and now I am your Friend."
"Can I get you a beer or something?"
"No thanks. You live in a great city. I like it....and the men I have seen." Zack rubbed the front of his trousers and leaned in close to Ryer. "I am told that you are a man who takes his time."
"How much time do you have?"
"How much do you need?"
Ryer finished his beer and dropped the empty can between them.
