“Come on!” Gilda Albright tugged on her boyfriend’s outstretched hand. Her blonde hair hung in uncharacteristic curls over her shoulder, and one dangled just between her sumptuous breasts, undermining Seth’s refusal to follow.

“No, Gil, this can’t be right. Somebody is going to find out.” Seth McConnell stood his ground, even as he ached to find out what she had cooked up. The bright red tank top was managing to do unusual and delightful things to her chest, causing an aggravating tightening of his groin. The added lipstick, rouge, manicured nails, spiked high heels and the skin-tight low-rider jeans had his brain frozen in confused lust.

“Nobody is going to know. The theatre’s closed tonight. Marty, the janitor, left me the keys, so I could get in to make-up tomorrow’s film. Believe me, it’s just us.”

Seth removed his tongue from the roof of his mouth and his eyes from Gilda’s abundant charms. “Yeah, but what if something happens? I don’t want you to lose your job.”

She stopped pulling and stood up, wrapping her arms around his neck. “What’s gonna happen?”

Seth drew a breath to respond. His nostrils filled with vanilla and cinnamon. “Is that new perfume?”

Her hot breath tickled his ear. “Uh huh. I’ve got some other new things to show you as well.”

His hands settled on her hips, his eyes closed in bliss. “Like what?”

A tongue licked his jaw. “Come inside and I’ll show you.”

Unable to deny her siren’s song any longer, Seth ran his hands up her sides, his hands cupping her breasts. Both nipples hardened instantly.

She drew back, pulled a set of keys from her front pocket and turned to the steel door, letting out a jagged breath of frustrated passion.

He sighed. As usual, when Gilda had her mind set on something, she managed to wheedle him into joining her. He looked up the dark alley. Only a single streetlight from the theatre district illuminated the cobbled lane. Dumpsters lined one redbrick wall, and a chain-link fence blocked access to the small yards belonging to the neighboring condos. His misgivings returned. “Look, Gil. You’ve only had the job a week. Don’t ruin it!”

She laughed a low throaty sound that never failed to bring his body to instant attention. “It’s your birthday. I wanted to do something special. Just shut up and enjoy the ride, okay?”

He ran a hand through his dirty blond hair. He had a good idea what she wanted to do. “Where are we supposed to make-out in a theatre?”

She gave one last twist to the multiple deadbolt locks and pulled. The door gave a rusty protest. “Did you know The Orpheum was built in 1852? It still has a stage in front of the screen. They use it for plays, too.” They entered a dimly lit landing. Iron staircases climbed up and disappeared down. The stale odor of must and ancient times filled the air. Gilda began climbing. “You should see the house. They brought back the velvet curtains, gold trim and changed the bulbs in the chandeliers. It’s like…it’s wonderful!”

He followed, enjoying the sway of her ass and hips. The whale tale of her red lace thong peeked out of the waistband. “Still, what does this have to do with my birthday?”

She stopped at the first landing and opened a door covered in maroon leather trimmed with gold studs. It gave onto a narrow hallway. She reached to her left and hit the switch.

Seth blinked. They had stepped into another time and place.

“Can’t you just see it? All the gowns and tuxedoes?” she whispered. “God, I love this place. Now, do me favor, just duck into the auditorium and take a front row seat. I have a special show for you, tonight. I’ve gotta go up to the booth and hit some lights.” She ran a long nail down his chest, the fabric of his t-shirt teasing his skin. Goosebumps broke out on his arms.

Rubbing the back of his neck, he smiled. “Alright, Gil. Jeez! How do you talk me into these things?”
She leaned in and kissed him, her tongue tangling with his. Her hands ran across his chest, stopping to ease down his stomach.

His abs flexed. His cock swelled. Just when Seth’s mind stopped thinking about the silent building and their illicit meeting, she drew back. "I’ll see you in five minutes.” She disappeared through the door, taking her warm body and eager invitation with her.

Seth adjusted his jeans before walking down the hall in search of the entrance door to the auditorium.
He paused in the lobby, taking a moment to study the ceiling frescos and gilt trim, all hidden in shadow. He could smell the new paint and carpet. Maybe it looked a hundred years old in style, but nothing could really cover the sounds of the HVAC system kicking on.

He entered the auditorium and walked down the aisle, seeking a good seat. “She said front row.” At the movies, he always sat in the back. He just didn’t like the feeling of somebody watching him for two hours. He edged over towards the center, keeping a careful eye on the black hole of the orchestra pit. He shook his head—the owners had kept so many of the theatre features. But why? The Orpheum was opening in a few days as an art house, displaying classic films and those produced by the independent film houses. A lot of wasted money in this place—nobody cares what their cinema looks like. Seth settled deeper into the red velvet cushion, rocking back and resting his arms on the cup holders to wait.
