“You have a gorgeous smile,” I blurted out.
In the darkness I think I saw her slightly flush. “Thank you.”
“Have you been to Palm Springs before?” I figured I should move away from the overly aggressive creeper attitude and just try to get to know her a little bit.
“Oh yes. I’ve never been to this hotel before but I’ve been to Palm Springs many times. My parents used to drag my brother and I here during the winter a lot. I was raised in San Diego and Palm Springs was one of our ‘vacation’ spots.”
“I am from the Northwest and we always went to Portland,” I said. “Not quite as warm there. I tried to shut myself up with my beer. I was typically a decent conversationalist. But not around this girl – around her I was like someone who just learned to speak.
“Oh yeah, I love Portland,” she said.
“They have good beer there,” I said.
“Well, as you can tell, I’m not the biggest beer fan, but I do like shopping there.” Her eyes lit up when she said “shop.” She was a true girly girl.
We sat silent for a few moments. I downed my beer and decided not to plan what I said anymore. Unfortunately my mouth didn’t cooperate with me and didn’t seem to be able to censor what it said. It happened before I could control it.
“Who’s the guy you’re with?” I asked her.
“He’s just a friend.”
“Are you sleeping with him?” This is something that wasn’t really any of my business, although I didn’t want some enraged testosterone freak coming after me. Even though, really, we’d only been talking together in a bar. Innocently talking and I’d been picturing her naked, but he couldn’t have known that. In fact, most people probably pictured her naked on a daily basis.
“I have slept with him. Yes. Am I currently sleeping with him? No. I don’t like men. We slept together when I was trying to figure that out.”
My stomach fluttered from her answer. But before I had much time to process and think about it, she leaned over and kissed me.
Luckily I was done with my beer and the bottle was empty because I knocked it over in the moment. Her lips were so soft. They were almost indescribable. My head spun and swirled as I got lost in her mouth. She tasted like candy. It was a cotton candy mixed with cherry with a tinge of alcohol. It made my panties wet. She put her hands on my shoulders and parted my lips with her tongue. I lost myself in it, letting my tongue have a mind of its own to respond to her. I had to trust it, as my brain wouldn’t function correctly. My hands slipped around her waist. We continued to make out until the bartender knocked on the table.
“Hey, ladies, do you want anything else or are you ready to go back to your room?”
We pulled away. I felt my face flushing. It was like being busted behind the bleachers or something. How embarrassing. I never let myself get lost in the passionate moment like that.
“Uh, sorry,” I said. “I’ll just close out my tab now.
“Me too,” Noomi said, following it up with a rich chuckle from deep within her tight stomach.
