Excerpt:
Then one day while Barrett was leaned over the edge of the bench, his brow dripping with sweat, there was an unusual stir in the gym. Many heads turned from Barrett and swung toward the entrance of the weight room. The newcomer called himself Bear which was short for Barry and he was as handsome as he was tall with a physique of unusual proportions for a man who worked out of Manny’s Gym. True to his nickname, Bear was covered in masses of dark curly hairs that covered his chest and curled about his rounded, rock hard belly. His pecs were offset with eraser -like nipples. The furry trail that traveled past the top of his shorts and disappeared beneath the top, held many in the gym, transfixed.
Unlike Barrett, Bear was totally oblivious to the stir he caused. He had a muscled bubble butt, fleshy cheeks, thick thighs and strong calves. He scratched his slight beard and then reached back to tie his long black hair into a ponytail. His dark brown eyes focused, his brow furrowed as he straddled the nearest bench to Barrett.
During his warm-ups, he paid little attention to Barrett who watched Bear as intensely as everyone else, out the corner of their eye. Women wanted him, men wanted to be him. Barrett was envious and jealous as hell, and his sexual excitement made a very noticeable bulge beneath his shorts. Bear performed his warm ups effortlessly, never once looking in Barrett's direction, and this infuriated Barrett even more.
While Barrett had been unable to concentrate on anything else but Bear, Bear showed no acknowledgment that Barrett was even in the room. Observers watched intently as the awesome duo lifted weights, while building up sweat and tension in their bodies. The two men together made for a very impressive show.
For every weight Barrett took on, Bear reached for a higher weight, performing effortlessly as though he had done this all his life, which indeed he had. Barrett imagined that all eyes were on him and he was sharing the spotlight with the handsomely proportionate man. They ‘competed’ for a half hour with the crowd around them growing excited, no longer attempting to hide their erections. Bear still ignored his handsome competitor, while Barrett did everything to at least make eye contact. His anger growing, he began to weaken and as he attempted his last overhead bicep curl he panicked and was forced to call for help. He had picked a weight high above his capabilities and now he had placed himself in danger. He felt defeated and stupid.
